Detailed Job Description

Responsible for performing teaching or teaching-related duties to assist professor. Requires advanced or specialized knowledge and skills, such as pedagogical methods, facilitation techniques, research and/or specified information-gathering for projects and tasks. Must be available for special events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled or intending to enroll at an accredited institution in a masters or doctorate program directly related to the summary of duties; relevant coursework to be determined by the hiring department.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field.


Knowledge of facilitating and pedagogical methods, the use of computers and computer software applications including Word applications, Excel spreadsheets, databases, e-mail, internet, and presentations.


Skilled in classroom methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.

Skilled in the preparation and interpretation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.

Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision making skills.

Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Skilled in prioritizing and following projects through to successful completion.

Skilled in maintaining calendars.

Skilled in composing and editing written materials.


Ability to perform a variety of teaching support duties with minimum supervision.

Ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions.

Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.

Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.

Ability to communicate effectively with the public in and out of a classroom environment.

Ability to work independently on a multitask level.

Ability to manage several diverse projects simultaneously.

Pay Range

$12.34 - $15.42 per hour
