Detailed Job Description

This is a temporary help position beginning September 10 - December 5, 2015. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for teaching and modifying curriculum for an intensive introductory business oral communications or business writing class for newly admitted international graduate students. Instructors will attend a training session prior to the start of the program and attend weekly meetings for the duration of the program. This position is approximately 10-15 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and learning, a positive attitude and a willingness to embrace diverse cultures. Note: The hours for this position are during the day.  

Position Qualifications

- Minimum three years' experience teaching English Language Learners in a higher education setting. Graduate level teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree + TESL/TEFL certification and/or M.A. in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, ESL, Business or related field required.
- Experience with and knowledge of a variety of curriculum approaches and methodologies for teaching English as a Second Language to include content-based instruction and English for Specific Purposes
