Job Responsibilities

• Serves as subject matter expert for eLearning technologies
Serves as a subject matter expert in support of the design and development of pedagogically effective training for faculty on eLearning technologies

Pulls data on faculty and student use of eLearning Technology systems, evaluates and analyzes results, and implements success solutions

Works collaboratively with the rest of the eLearning Technologies team and Instructional Designers to assess the needs of faculty in order to propose pedagogically and technically appropriate solutions

Participates in system testing from a faculty usage perspective to make educationally-based decisions about eLearning technologies

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or a minimum of three years of demonstrated full-time experience working with students or faculty in a digital educational environment

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience with Blackboard or similar LMS and other eLearning technologies

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Possesses working knowledge of digital education concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and time efficiently

Ability to be creative and exercise initiative

Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with instructional designers and courseware builders

Ability to make educationally-driven technology decisions that will impact faculty and students

Possesses familiarity with current trends in eLearning and digital education

Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills

Works accurately with great attention to detail

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment

Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships

Demonstrated basic project Management skills

Demonstrated intermediate Blackboard skills (or equivalent program)

Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to collaborate, persuade, gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas on significant projects

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Masters in a related field

Demonstrated experience effectively working collaboratively with faculty and other digital education-related staff in an higher educational environment

Demonstrated experience with Blackboard, synchronous web-conferencing technologies, Softchalk and/or other learning object creation tools, Learning Object Repositories (LOR,) lecture capture (Camtasia Relay), and video streaming services (Sharestream, Kaltura or similar)

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of operation, Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
