Teaches undergraduate courses in business calculus. Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study that includes measurable objectives for each course taught. Teaches courses taught with electronic course materials. Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms through demonstration, discussion and visual aids while maintaining a student oriented approach to education.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an appropriate degree in a related field to the coursework being taught. Knowledge and skill in current instructional theories, strategies, techniques, and discipline content. See preferred qualifications for discipline or program-specific minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in math or math education required and demonstrated experience in teaching applied business calculus courses to aspiring business students.

Knowledge of the principles and methodology of teaching techniques.


Possesses practical experience in a broad range of practice specialties.

Skills in the principles and methodology of teaching techniques.


Ability to teach applied business calculus.

Ability of teaching and developing curriculum in an online, virtual environment.

Ability to engage, encourage, instruct, and motivate students, including evaluating, implementing, and planning educational goals and objectives to achieve academic and career success.

Ability to develop curriculum and teach designed courses.

Ability to develop effective business and educational partnerships at the campus, local, state and national levels
