Detailed Job Description

Performs advanced professional accounting activities for a specialized, complex assignment or functional area requiring application of an advanced professional knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Ensures or evaluates compliance and accountability of financial programs and business operations/processes. May supervise or lead lower level professional accountants and other staff.

Additional Department Summary:

Performs a variety of complex administrative duties, including professional accounting activities and special project management, for Division of Student Affairs.Provides financial management for a variety of Student Affairs departments reporting to the Dean of Students and Assistant Vice President for Student Life. Coordinates and manages divisional scholarships. Is primary administrator for gift, advancement, grant, and sponsored program accounts. Contemporaneously monitors and resolves budget concerns, develops financial management reports, projects income and expenses, and interprets University policy.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance and three (3) years of professional accounting experience; OR a Master's degree in Accounting or Business and 2 years of professional accounting experience; OR CPA and 2 years of professional accounting experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer experience in administrative functions within higher education environment. 58 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 37835.16 Midpoint - $ 54870.36
