Detailed Job Description

The Assistant Dance Team Club Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Club Coach in the recruitment, selection and operation of the team in conjunction with the team's executive board. The Assistant Club Coach is required to help schedule and be present during all practices and game day performances, ensuring that all safety standards as defined by Bentley University are met in full.  

Additional Description of Duties:

- Run effective strength, technique and choreography focused practices.
- Responsible for game day choreography.
- Attend all game day practices (Tuesdays).
- Attend all game day performances (Home Football Games, Home Men & Women's Basketball Games).
- Assist Head Club Coach in Competition Team.
- Attend Annual NDA Competition in Daytona Beach, FL.
- Attend Annual NDA Camp in Boston, MA
- Be available to team members to counsel on matters relating to the Dance Team and team morale.
- Provide leadership in the dance, personal and academic development of the dance team member.
- Represent Bentley University in a manner that is consistent with the mission of the university and Student Activities department.  

Position Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or a strong background in the performing arts. Must be able to effectively demonstrate and instruct technique and skill to team members. Demonstrated leadership skills, ability and willingness to assist with undergraduate student development through dance and campus/community programming.  

License(s) Required for the Position

Must be First Responder/First AID certified as determined by the American Red Cross.
