Job Description:

The Life Map Navigator is a new position and will play a central role in assisting and supporting students with planning their education and career objectives.  The various tools within the Life Map portal will assist students in creating plans for their academic success, exploring majors related to their career interest and learning about campus services and programs.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide assistance and support to students using Life Map services
  • Assist students with various online tools within the Life Map portal
  • Assist students with e-portfolio
  • Provide referrals to other College support services
  • Maintain monitoring records for delivery of services
  • Collaborate with Life Map Commons staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • One year experience in academic advisement and/or career development
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Familiarity with online tools and social media
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Must be a team player/leader, and place a high priority on customer service relationships
  • Proven ability to work with effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
  • Available to work at least 2 evenings per week

Additional Information: Title III grant-funded position ending date: September 30, 2018.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $37,840.00-$40,000.00. Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education & Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state Benefits.
