Responsible for advising prospective students, parents, and high school counselors regarding admission and financial aid procedures for the purpose of recruitment and enrollment.
Recruit student to the campus for the traditional undergraduate degree programs. This includes visiting high schools, community colleges and attending college fairs and other venues where prospective students and families are located. Establish relationships with counselors, parents and students by providing accurate admission and campus information and to increase the applicant pool to the university. To include territory management. Attend events, mainly off campus, during the day, in the evening and on weekends.
Evaluate admission applications to the university and make appropriate representation to the admission committee for admission. This includes calculating GPAs, reviewing essays and recommendations and following up on applicants and providing accurate information to the student as well as positive interactions such as texting, emailing and telephoning all parties associated with the applicant. To do everything possible within generally accepted admission standards and practices to encourage the student to enroll. To understand and explain the campuses financial aid process to a variety of stakeholders in the admission process.
To perform data searches about individual applicants and to generate reports in both Recruiter database so that data driven decisions can be made about recruitment territories.
To have a high level of proficiency in MicroSoft products including Power Point, Word, and HTML platforms.
To represent the university to large audiences and to make informative and creative presentations to encourage enrollment. To counsel individuals and families in a one-on-one setting about the university.
Coordinate admission events which includes groups of visitors to the campus. This entails making all necessary arrangements for a successful visit.
Other duties as assigned as assigned by Dean.
Bachelor’s degree, valid California Driver’s License, good communication skills.
Admission experience preferred.
