The University of La Verne, Campus Accelerated Program for Adults (CAPA) located at the La Verne campus has a position available for an Administrative Assistant II. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the business and operational functions of the CAPA and weekend college program.The position is under the direction of the Executive Director of CAPA.

Specific Duties

The duties of the position include four key areas: 1) Management Information Systems – providing technical and instructional support for Banner Navigation, upgrades, and web registration; participating on assigned Banner Virtual Teams and providing ongoing training to staff as new steps and procedures are implemented; training students in web registration and payment plan options following established guidelines, policies, and procedures; processing instructor information; maintaining faculty files and assisting with processing new hires; managing the online course evaluation system. 2) Admissions/Student Records – managing the Banner entry process for application, admission, and graduation of new/current undergraduate and graduate students. 3) Corporate Contacts – managing corporate contact program and maintaining relationships with appropriate company contacts; supervising the direct billing and reimbursement letter processes. 4) Auditing – supervising the audit process of manual registration; maintaining data integrity; having sole responsibility of performing final accuracy check and deposit of monies; other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of three years of increasingly responsible clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of post secondary education and experience. Additional requirements include excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple assignments with attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
