Under the direction of the Director of Multicultural Services, establishes a high profile office of multicultural student services that serves the needs of current and prospective UVU multicultural students and assists in the development and implementation of programs and services that help all students become interculuturally competent.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field and three years experience related to the Summary of Duties or a combination of education and/or experience totaling seven years.
Knowledge of function and operation of a multicultural center/office.
Knowledge of multicultural literature, training, curriculum development.
Considerable knowledge of various ethnic cultures.
Skilled in public relations, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Skilled in the techniques/methods of establishing training and in service programs to meet the needs of a multicultural center and students.
Skilled with computers and computer applications.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to develop and manage a budget.
Ability to supervise.
Ability to work with a diverse population.
