Under administrative direction from the Associate Vice President of Human Resources, The Director of Human Resources position is responsible for leadership of the department's Employee Relations, Learning and Development and Work-Life Functions.

Additional Department Summary:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leadership of the department's Employee Relations, Learning and Development and Work-Life functions. Additionally, the role is responsible for providing HR leadership in the area of crisis management in cooperation with other appropriate campus partners. The position is responsible for ensuring assigned staff are appropriately trained and supported in their respective roles. The position is responsible for developing and implementing programs that positively impact the effectiveness and morale of University staff.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or closely related field and 10 years of experience; OR a Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and 8 years of experience. Experience must include two years of management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the areas of responsibility for Employee Relations, Learning and Development and Work- Life functions. Experience with human resources in a higher education setting. SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred 62 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 69451.20 Midpoint - $ 100713.60
