Learning Design

The eLearning Developer is a high impact position within Saint Leo University’s Learning Design organization. The candidate will manage complex interaction of multiple technical and content stakeholders that span multiple departments, functions, and potentially geographies within the University system.

Basic Function:

  • Creates project schedule, communication plan, tracking & reporting variables
  • Leads in implementing/applying standard processes for scope/change management, risk management, issue management, quality assurance, estimate variances and project communications
  • Provide regular project progress status to directors, chairs, and other stakeholders
  • Manages all projects, tracks time allocations and resource usage; build and deliver eLearning courses and assets
  • Provision of necessary artifacts to support University audit efforts
  • Communicate to all stakeholders on a timely basis (may include Senior or Executive Level Management)
  • Maintains plan and accountability for high performance teams through own actions and direction provided to others
  • Ensures project closes effectively through production turnover, documentation of learning, and provision of feedback on project resource performance
  • Ensures project satisfies all required policy, audit, financial and technology guidelines

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager
  • Previous track record that demonstrates the successful implementation of large scale, cross functional, strategic initiatives
  • Experience handling multiple projects concurrently and consistently meeting project deliverables/deadlines
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, influence, negotiation, organization & communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and manage across various business segments and technology disciplines
  • Strong organization skills and experience with management and tracking of project deliverables, risks/issues, detailed task lists, etc.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast paced changing environment; ability to be flexible and resilient
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively
  • Able to resolve conflicts, hold stakeholders accountable, and manage long term projects effectively

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with college / university contexts preferred; work history with ‘known’ organizations in the education industry
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Previous experience with Project Management software desired
