Professor of Law and Jones Chairholder will continue the excellence in the quality of the faculty of the University of Alabama School of Law. The Chairholder will have a national or international reputation for scholarship and teaching of the highest caliber in the field of law. Candidate will possess a JD degree or an exceptional advanced degree such as a Ph.D., and scholarship related to the law involving interdisciplinary, jurisprudential, empirical, or social scientific work.

The School of Law has achieved a high level of excellence in the quality of its faculty, students, administration, and staff.
