Detailed Job Description

The University of La Verne has a 75% FTE (part-time, 30 hours per week) position available for a PT5 Coordinator funded by a U.S. Department of Education Title V Cooperative Grant. This is a five-year PT5 grant position, in which the grant funding is reviewed for continuation each year during the five-year period. This grant is currently in its fourth year. This position reports to the Associate Director of Learning Technology / PT5 ULV Activity Director and will provide administrative assistance and instructional design services to support the PT5 grant and project staff.

Specific Duties

The primary duties of this position include coordinating major project events, supervising, and coordinating instructional design services, coordinating Faculty Experts involved in grant activities, tracking project expenses, providing updated reports; assisting the PT5 ULV Activity Director with all project related document creation and processing; coordinating and staffing of project events, including scheduling and room reservations, catering orders, preparing event materials such as agenda/flyers and taking minutes; maintaining records and files for the project, assisting in gathering recording data and with the preparation and submission of annual reports; making project related travel arrangements; assisting Treasury Department with monthly effort reporting; and other related duties in support of project objectives as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires an Associate of Arts degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Familiarity with University administrative and accounting paperwork and procedures is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful candidate will have design experience including Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe eLearning Suite, Blackboard LMS, Office Suite, and cloud based systems as well as excellent verbal, written communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
