Clinical Faculty and Director of Dietetic Internships – Full time (nine months, non-tenure track) Clinical Faculty (75% instructional) and Director (25% administrative) position that will start August 17, 2015. The DPD Program is an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited B.S. degree in Dietetics.
We are seeking a creative, energetic, and visionary leader with great passion in dietetic education for the implementation, management and growth of the dietetic internship (DI) program. This position is responsible for assisting with the initial creation, implementation and operations of the newly created Dietetic Internship Program with an emphasis in Community Nutrition. This faculty position includes 25% administrative appointment for the role of the DI director, and 75% instruction at the undergraduate level. The DI director provides leadership and implementation of the dietetic internship program, builds productive relationships with key partners, and enhances the dietetic program. The DI director will be responsible for implementing Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) dietetic internship requirements, including, but not limited to, preparing reports and updates, advising, and recruiting students.
Earned Master’s degree in nutrition or a closely related area from an accredited university; registered dietitian; licensure eligible in the State of Ohio; knowledge of or experience with multicultural populations.
PhD; excellent communication and networking skills; demonstrated competency in teaching using various methods of technology for course delivery; three years of experience as a dietetic practitioner; previous experience working with interns; relevant university teaching experience.
