PART-TIME I-WILL PROGRAM COORDINATOR (LEARNING ACCOMMODATIONS CENTER): (Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Grant) 30 hours per week. (Grant Funded Position) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2015

The I-Will Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of coordinating and implementing the Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Partnership Program. He/she is the primary contact between the student and family, college faculty and staff, the partnering school systems and the educational coaches supporting the students on campus. The I-Will Program Coordinator reports to the Director of the Learning Accommodations Center.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate all I-Will Program (Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment (ICE) Program) activities and develop comprehensive academic and co-curricular supports for high school students in transition (ages18-21 with severe disabilities) to promote access to campus life and college coursework in an inclusive setting.
  • Assess the learning strengths and areas of development for individual students.
  • Participate, as the College's representative, on all person-centered planning activities for incoming I-Will students in collaboration with the sending high schools/special education departments.
  • Consult with educational coaches and high school liaison regarding instructional needs of students.
  • Consult with students, faculty, administrators and other campus personnel regarding students' instructional needs, academic accommodations and assistive technology needs.
  • Coordinate and participate, as lead staff, in the recruitment, admissions and orientation of incoming I-Will students. This includes developing and updating program materials, coordinating orientation programs and campus visits.
  • Meeting with students and parents to select courses and activities that best match the students' interest.
  • Provide professional development and training to college faculty and staff to promote the inclusion and success of I-Will students in the college community and promote universal design in the college curriculum.
  • Assist students with course selection and registration.
  • Collaborate with the high school transition/employment specialist and community workforce/employment options to obtain and maintain quality work consistent with the student's vocational goals.
  • Interact with college departments and resources, community adult services agencies and high school liaisons and special education departments.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with the Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Partnership Program. This would include collecting and reporting of statistical data and analysis, coordinating partnership and leadership team meetings, maintaining student files, assisting in monitoring budget expenditures and collaboration with the sending districts and NECC college personnel from necessary departments on the creation of an annual Memorandum of Agreement.
  • Develop and/or update program materials and website.

Salary: $26.40 per hour with prorated fringe benefit package.
