The Career Services Program Coordinator reports to the Director or Senior Associate/Assistant Director of Career Services and is responsible for coordinating and/or supporting Web-based career development workshops, the delivery of e-learning content, early career exploration events, career panels and general experiential programming. The Program Coordinator will also support new Career Services initiatives as needed. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with career advisors and employer relations team members in fulfilling his or her duties. The Program Coordinator will develop new, and strengthen existing partnerships, with employers, student groups, university administrators/faculty/staff, the Parent’s Council, and other groups as appropriate in order to increase students’ awareness and participation in such activities.
Coordinate and or/support career development programming, including content delivery, data collection, data base management, communications and program assessment and ensure all career community stakeholders are actively engaged in such activities.
Recruit members of the Miami career community to participate in career development programming.
Prepare instructional materials as needed, in collaboration with career advisors, to support career development programs.
Conduct and coordinate outreach activities to academic divisions, departments, and student groups.
Prepare and maintain pertinent records and reports associated with assigned responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor degree in business, student development, HR or other relevant discipline is required.
Minimum of one year of experience in business, not-for-profits, event planning and/or higher education.
Business acumen and knowledge of business and non-profit career paths and job search strategies.
Advanced program and project management skills.
Superior writing, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Practiced in MS Office Suite, Google functionality and social media channels.
A Master’s degree is preferred.
