Detailed Job Description

The Broadcast Producer/Editor is responsible for producing various live productions, video features, recruiting video pieces, and highlight videos to be utilized on a variety of platforms.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience as an editor, producer or director in a broadcast or multimedia production environment; OR a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism, Graphic Design or in a related field and some experience as an editor, producer or director in a broadcast or multimedia production environment; or a Master's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism, Graphic Design.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

A portfolio that displays competence in all areas of design and publication preparation for print and electronic production is required. Ability to travel extensively, work long hours, and work on weekends and holidays as necessary.

Skills and Knowledge:

Requires a comprehensive knowledge of all current video software recognized as industry standards such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Soundtrack Pro, Motion. Lighting techniques, positioning and knowledge required. Working knowledge of current video gear. Ability to design creatively and efficiently using the Macintosh operating system and appropriate software (including but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In Design, Microsoft Office, and Dreamweaver). Excellent organizational skills to handle the volume (multiple active projects at any one time) and variety of projects for which at the pace at which they must be accomplished. Ability to meet deadlines, follow priorities and to schedule work on several projects at once to maintain a constant smooth flow of work.

Background in sports preferred. 56 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 28537.56 Midpoint - $ 39956.76
