As a diverse community of faculty and students who share a faith-based commitment to professional practice as service, especially to those marginalized and wounded by society, we strongly encourage applications from groups underrepresented in higher education, including women and ethnic and racial minorities. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the integration of Christian faith and theology with marriage and family therapy, hold a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy or the equivalent, be MFT licensed or license eligible in the State of Illinois, and hold the AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation or eligibility.
Position 1: Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy. Responsibilities will include teaching, clinical supervision, integration of Christian faith and systemic thought, and active scholarship. Areas of clinical and research specialization are open; an interest in global MFT issues and underserved populations is highly desirable.
Position 2: Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy / Training Coordinator. Responsibilities will include teaching, clinical supervision, recruiting and retention of internship sites, and active scholarship. The ability to partner with community agencies is integral to this position.
