Detailed Job Description

The Donor Relations & Scholarship Specialist is responsible for the overall integrity, management and implementation of a comprehensive donor stewardship process to engage scholarship and other donors through strategic cultivation and solicitation strategies, as well as special events.

The position will create a reporting structure that is useful in explaining all fundraising outcomes and scholarship awards, and will aid in improving those outcomes. It involves coordination of the scholarship process among donors, gift officers, the College Financial Aid Office and departments awarding scholarships  

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher required.

Minimum of three years of experience using databases (such as Datatel Colleague, Raiser's Edge, Access, etc.).  

Preferred Qualifications

One year of Financial Aid or Scholarship Awarding experience preferred.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint).

Statistical literacy, strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills essential.

Strong writing and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Ability to work independently and in team-based environment.

Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.

Ability to work a flexible schedule (some evening/weekend events) as needed
