Under the direction of the Director of Dinning Services, the Supervisor- Campus Vending is responsible for hiring, training, directing, and the evaluation of Vending staff and remote food service operations on campus. This position oversees the placement of orders, receipt of goods, and distribution for retail products consumed in Vending, Green Line Cafe, Losee Cafe, Trades Cafe, and Valley View Room including catering items as needed. This position is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory; organizing and coordinating the stocking of all retail and vending products, and initiates the repair of vending equipment and upkeep of all remote operation equipment.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus two years of staff level experience in Summary of Duties or equivalent education and experience totaling six years.
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
Knowledge of traffic patterns for vending machine placement.
Knowledge of research methods for data gathering in response to requests for vending services.
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of coin-operated & credit card vending machines.
Skilled in the installation, maintenance and repair of vending machines.
Skilled in record maintenance.
Skilled with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
Ability to work effectively with institutional officials, employees, students, and vending contractors.
Employee should be able to lift 45 pounds to waist height. Position requires significant bending, stooping, lifting and standing for prolongs periods of time.
