Frostburg State University, College of Business, seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor of Operations Management with an additional focus in decision management and statistics for its Department of Management. This position is available to begin Spring 2016 or Fall 2016. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; University System of Maryland benefits package included.
Responsibilities: Teach graduate Management Decision and Analysis and undergraduate Operations Management, Quality Management, and/or other management courses both face-to-face and online with appropriate research productivity. The College is in the beginning stages of developing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree program and selected candidate must be willing and able to take on research and statistics courses.

While the College’s primary focus is teaching, maintenance of academic qualifications includes productivity in the area of Intellectual Contribution. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate teaching excellence. ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered for appointment at the rank of Instructor. Previous teaching experience in the discipline required. If degree or concentration/focus is not specifically in Operations Management or Management Decision Analysis, candidate must demonstrate that refereed publications and other intellectual contributions will make them academically qualified in the discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Operations Management, Decision Sciences, or a closely related management discipline for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Evidence of teaching in the Operations Management/Decision Sciences field, familiarity with statistical analysis, and a record of publication.
