Frostburg State University, College of Business, seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor of Finance for its Department of Marketing and Finance. This position is available to begin Spring 2016 or Fall 2016 with teaching requirements at the main campus in Frostburg, Maryland and the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USMH). Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications; University System of Maryland benefits package included.
Responsibilities: Teach primarily undergraduate Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Insurance, and graduate Financial Management courses with appropriate research productivity and service to the institution.
Frostburg State University’s College of Business is AACSB accredited and values teaching, scholarly contribution, and service. The College of Business has a growing reputation for addressing the rapidly changing landscape of business through global experiential learning. While the College’s primary focus is teaching, maintenance of academic qualifications includes productivity in the area of Intellectual Contribution. Service activities to the College including student advising and committee assignments are expected.
Minimum Qualifications: ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered for appointment at the rank of Instructor. Previous teaching experience and evidence of scholarly work required.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Finance or closely related field for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
