PART-TIME LIBRARY ASSISTANT: Lawrence Campus (Fall 2015)

This is a part-time temporary position for the fall 2015 semester at 16 hours/week (Monday ?Thursday 9:00 AM-1:00 PM). Occasional evening and Saturday hours are possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in working in an academic library to gain valuable experience. There is a possibility that the position could become permanent following the fall semester Anticipated start date: August, 2015

The Library Assistant aids students and other patrons with circulation services, answering questions, and general technology help. Performs shelving and collection maintenance. Other duties as assigned.

Public services experience in a library, or coursework in an information science program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal skills, a problem-solving, positive attitude, and high comfort level providing library services to multicultural patrons.

Salary: $17.13 per hour, no fringe benefits
