Under general supervision of manager, coordinates the day-to-day operations of the university’s motor vehicle and rental fleets. Ensures cost-efficient operations, excellent customer service, and compliance with all federal, state, and university laws, regulations, and policies. Supervise part time motor pool technician.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree plus one year of experience related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling three years.
Knowledge of vehicle fleet systems and procedures.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and ordinances pertinent to automotive and maintenance areas.
Skilled in office methods and techniques.
Skilled in using computer applications and performing data entry.
Skilled with office machines such as printers, fax, copiers, etc.
Skilled in communicating effectively with customers.
Skilled in defining priorities.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to perform tasks with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate automotive repairs.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
