Under the direction of the Director of Instructional Design Services, creates and edits instructional content, documents, scripts, narratives, and evaluation materials using established style guides to ensure accurate communication of technical information and align delivery with instructional strategy.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience OR any combination of education and work experience totaling five years related to the summary of duties.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field and one year of experience OR any combination of education and work experience totaling five years related to the summary of duties. Distance Education experience a plus.
Knowledge of technical communication practices and procedures.
Familiarity with course management systems, web browsers and search engines.
Demonstrated skill and experience in technical writing and editing.
Demonstrated skill and experience editing for content accuracy, style, grammar and context.
Excellent interviewing and interpersonal communication skills.
Skill in developing documents using MS Office.
Ability to adapt communications for intended user and delivery method.
Ability to align communications with instructional strategy and style guides.
Ability to effectively plan and balance multiple assignments.
Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to achieve technical accuracy ad clarity.
