Builds and manages a team of BI professionals to ensure timely, accessible, high-quality reporting and analytics. Works cross-functionally with various university decision-makers to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs. Provides leadership for developing and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) reporting frameworks, tools, and data marts. Identify key gaps in data assets and reports and recommends solutions.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus three years of staff level experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.
A bachelor’s degree in an related field from an accredited institution and a minimum of 6 years of proven experience in a related field (or Master’s with 4 years experience) including a minimum of 2 years directly related to business intelligence totaling 10 years of education and experience.
Successful candidates will demonstrate experience managing teams, supervising employees, and managing multiple projects. Understand higher education environment, practices, and diffused power structure.
Working knowledge of ERP, SQL, databases, ETL, data storage, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools and solutions. Working knowledge of big data concepts.
Excellent customer service skills including ability to interact with decision-makers at all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage teams and multiple projects.
Ability to approach problem solving analytically, creatively, and innovatively.
Ability to work with technical and functional professionals in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to a non-technical audience. Ability to lead stakeholders through a process to arrive at data driven decision making.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
