Reporting into the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar will serve as principal liaison for all extended and off campus programs including Master’s in Education program (XCP), Coordinating Colleges of Greater Springfield and Distance Learning.
Bachelor's degree required 0-2 Years in higher education or a Registrar's Office, student records or student affairs Strong analytical, customer service, computer and supervision skills
Regularly communicate with dependent offices on College policies regarding transfer credit, registration, and degree requirements in close collaboration with the Assistant Registrar for Graduation and Transfer Articulation Manages the collection of student data for entry into the SIS Tracks and evaluates student progress toward degree and assists the institution in determining program effectiveness Assists in the preparation of transfer articulation Manage and coordinate timely updates to academic history including: changes of grade; notation of honors, dismissal, probation, Dean’s List and transcript comments in close collaboration with the Associate Registrar. Assists in all XCP graduation related processes and procedures including: communication regarding graduation application deadlines, graduation clearance, issuance of diplomas and degree verifications Develops and executes communication plans for all areas listed above to relevant College departments. Supervise the production of College transcripts with close attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality Runs reports, as necessary, that pertain to: graduation/diploma lists, academic needs such as GPA, scholarship recipients, cohorts etc. Demonstrate strict adherence to privacy laws and concerns especially FERPA and HIPA Functionally supervises assigned staff Participates in evaluations, employee selection and other personnel actions, and provides direction and guidance regarding job methods, standards and operations. Assists in planning and conducting staff meetings
