Detailed Job Description

American International College is seeking a Head Women’s and Men’s Golf Coach who possesses the coaching expertise and organizational skills necessary to lead successful Division II golf programs. The candidate will have strong knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations.

Under the direction of the Athletic Director, the Head Women’s and Men’s Golf Coach will manage and direct all aspects of the College’s golf programs


  • Bachelor and Master degrees preferred
  • Minimum of two years of successful golf coaching
  • Ability to provide high-level golf instruction
  • A strong commitment to the academic success of the student-athlete
  • Knowledge of NCAA regulations and ability to pass NCAA recruiting test within 90 days of employment
  • Exceptional leadership and strong organizational skills
  • The ability to represent the philosophy and educational goals of American International College
  • Ability to work evening, weekends, and holidays as the schedule dictates
  • A valid, insurable driver’s license is required, with ability to travel
  • Essential Functions

  • Administration of all phases of a NCAA women’s and men’s golf program, including recruiting qualified student athletes
  • Formulate the team’s competitive schedule
  • Organize and train student-athletes for successful and safe competition
  • Adhere to college, Northeast-10 and NCAA policies and procedures
  • Foster cooperative working relationships with immediate supervisor as well as any staff or team members associated with the program
  • Prepare timely and accurate documents i.e. travel expense statements, itineraries, etc.
  • Monitor and support the academic success of student athletes
  • Plan and conduct pre- and post-season conditioning and training programs
  • Effectively prepare, spend and manage the budget and records for the team
  • Arrange team travel and meals
  • Coordinate visits by recruits and their families
  • Interact with athletic administration and financial aid office to create and maintain financial aid plan
  • Game strategy including practice and game coaching and preparation
  • Supervising and evaluating golf program staff
  • Participate in retention activities including academics, social and financial issues
  • Carry out other related administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
