Working closely with the Annual Giving Officer, design the calling program to include segmentation of calling pool and strategic initiatives to improve donor retention and acquisition.
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years related advancement experience
Demonstrated experience in phonathon management
Solid understanding of research practices in a higher education setting
Technical understanding of Raiser’s Edge
Demonstrate effectiveness and genuine warmth in contacts with others, motivating personality, positive attitude, at ease speaking with many people of various backgrounds
Excellent verbal communication skills

Coordinate the daily operation of the seasonal campus calling center/phonathon operation including: recruiting, hiring, supervising, and motivating a staff of up to 30 student callers.
Manage a comprehensive program of caller training and continuing education, ensuring that student callers have sufficient knowledge of both the institution and annual giving program.
Assist in writing and editing student caller scripts.
Monitor caller contact with prospects, oversees pledge confirmation process; conduct bi-weekly meetings with supervisor and monthly meetings with student callers; provide on-the-spot coaching, develop effective caller motivation techniques, monitor shifts and caller statistics to ensure program goals are achieved.
Oversee pledge fulfillment process, handle follow-up communications with donors in a timely manner, maintain accuracy of pledge data and information, work closely with advancement services staff to ensure efficient pledge and gift processing and calling system interface.
Prepare progress reports, inform supervisor of project status and deviation from goal, gather statistical information and generate daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports and analysis on the phonathon program performance and results.
Develop, implement, and manage programming and initiatives that create awareness of and engage students in alumni programs and advancement efforts; create initiatives to ensure current students are educated and informed about the impact of alumni support on campus and the benefits of being an AIC alum.
Lead student advancement initiatives including, but not limited to, Senior Class Giving campaign, Senior Week programming, student-alumni programming such as mentoring and lectures. Create metrics to evaluate efforts related to student-alumni participation and engagement.
Partner with on campus partners (ex. Office of Student Engagement) to increase opportunities and maximize impact of student interaction with alumni; work closely with colleagues in Advancement on programming for young alumni (graduates of the last decade).
Offer collaborative leadership as class advisor or co-advisor as appropriate.
