The Regional E-Learning Coordinator of Online Faculty will serve in a leadership role to collaborate with contingent and full time faculty to provide E-Learning faculty orientation training and ongoing professional development to ensure pedagogical online best practices.

Duties

The Regional E-Learning Coordinator of Online Faculty will serve in a leadership role to collaborate with contingent and full time faculty to provide E-Learning faculty orientation training and ongoing professional development to ensure pedagogical online best practices; promote student engagement and retention; communicate and consult with faculty to promote social networking/ virtual community building opportunities. Implement e-initiatives to provide mentorship and research projects to increase online faculty collaboration, peer review and scholarship;  oversee multiple projects and timelines and ensure they are on-track for successful completion. Perform online and institutional research using analytics to aggregate data into final reports to be used in the ongoing accreditation, compliance. Support the assessment process in online programs and courses, using data-driven results to improve student success; work collaboratively with campus committees and stakeholders for the advancement of E-Learning initiatives; complete Quality Matters training and administer course checks. Analyze, design, and develop instructional materials for existing and new initiatives in accordance with standards and specifications required for online pedagogical best practices. Produce technical written projects that are clear, concise, appropriately detailed, and understandable by diverse audiences of faculty and staff. Utilizes proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and follows language rules; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree; Significant online instructional experience at the collegiate level with advanced use of learning management system tools and features. Two years of experience in a combination of areas such as: instructional technology, instructional design, faculty development, institutional or curriculum assessment. Excellent interpersonal skills and team approach; excellent written and oral communication skills when working with faculty/staff at a distance/online.  Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Web Conferencing, Google Tools, Microsoft Suite, Web-Based Apps, Mobile Technologies, Online Research, and Technical Troubleshooting. Strong organization skills with emphasis on being conscientious and detail-oriented. Demonstrate ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment to meet project deadlines. Experience using and/or supporting accessible technologies; knowledge of online learning regulatory and compliance agency requirements including: state authorization, ADA, Section 508 compliance, FERPA,and other applicable laws, rules, ordinances and regulations related to online learning.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD; experience in instructional design, instructional technology, communication technology, or a related field of study. Five years of experience in a combination of areas such as: instructional technology, instructional design, online faculty mentorship, institutional or curriculum assessment and higher education online instruction to include experience managing multiple projects and faculty development. Quality Matters Certified Peer Review/Master Reviewer.  Scholarly research interests and publications in online pedagogy best practices. Ability to read, understand, interpret, and implement accreditation criteria and state agency regulations to implement academic policies and procedures.
