Job Responsibilities


• Provides leadership and management for the Ohio TechNet project
• Approves, tracks, and manages project budget
• Responsible for daily attendance on-site at training locations
• Determines program metrics to assess program performance and implements continuous improvement
• Tracks and manages grant funds as needed
• Responsible for meeting stated grant goals, objectives, and outcomes
• Trains and evaluates instructors and part-time support staff
• Provides instruction, maintains current and accurate records of student’s performance, attendance and field experience
• Works with industry professionals to enhance program participants’ skills
• Purchases and maintains department equipment and software
• Develops curriculum with the assistance of academic team members
• Secures industry professional instructors for training, advisory committees, and guidance on curriculum development
• Ensures program compliance with college and grant funding policies and procedures
• Maintains program-related records and prepares reports
• Tracks data for project reports, client satisfaction, and obtainment of project objectives
• Facilitates the completion of the new welding credit program through the CADRE process
• Attends regional and statewide consortium meetings
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date records for monitoring and evaluation purposes
• Conducts student project evaluations
• Tracks data of course outcomes and student success
• Facilitates communication with potential partners about the project
• Coordinates the production of all marketing material with the Integrated Communications team
• Develops a project calendar of the all phases of the project based on established parameters and outcome requirements
• Assists and instructs students through all phases of the project’s process
• Develops relationships with industry professionals and companies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or a minimum of five years of demonstrated recent experience
• Demonstrated experience supervising, planning, assigning, scheduling and ensuring the quality of the work of others
• Demonstrated experience forecasting, planning, maintaining, preparing, and monitoring a business area’s budget
• Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department
• Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations

• Possesses familiarity with engineering, welding, or manufacturing fundamentals
• Possesses basic knowledge of fundamental manufacturing industry concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
• Possesses strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment requiring flexibility and teamwork
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, create opportunities and solve problems
• Possesses strong organizational, time-management skills, and is results-oriented

• The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;
