The primary responsibility of the Senior Associate Dean is to work collaboratively with other members of the dean’s staff to develop strategy and implement divisional policies. The Senior Associate Dean is primarily responsible for faculty affairs, management of senior Farmer School of Business (FSB) leaders, and is responsible for AACSB accreditation activities. Also, represents FSB in the absence of the Dean.
Management of faculty affairs within the FSB, including tasks related to hiring, promotion and tenure, retirement, divisional grants, leaves, awards, and annual evaluation.
Acting as the direct report for the Associate Dean for Curriculum, the department chairs, Senior Director of International Programs, Senior Director MBA programs, the Institute of Entrepreneurship, the Center for Business Excellence, and the Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management and Advising.
Responsibility for activities related to AACSB accreditation.
Assists the dean with 2020 and divisional strategic and financial planning.
Oversees office assignment process.
Oversees changes to divisional governance.
Coordinates reviews of chaired professional and administrators.
Coordinates divisional committee assignments.
Along with the Associate Dean for Curriculum, serves as Dean’s liaison to the FSB and committees as appropriate to area of responsibility.
Oversees FSB Executive Committee and Faculty Meeting agendas and execution.
Oversees website changes related to faculty resources.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Tenured full professor in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University.
Three or more years of university administrative or service experience preferred. Strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
