Detailed Job Description

The Educational Program and Assessment Coordinator reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and is responsible for:

Assessment: Overseeing the implementation and monitoring of learner and programmatic assessments in the school of medicine. This includes monitoring of compliance (completion of evaluations by students and faculty) and collecting and distributing results. The Educational Program & Assessment Coordinator also works with the Associate Dean for Assessment and Faculty Development to implement and monitor faculty and programmatic (course and curriculum) assessments.

Educational Program Coordination: Working with the senior associate dean for academic affairs to coordinate course schedules, academic events and periodic accreditation reviews.

Job Duties

Implement and coordinate all student, faculty and programmatic assessments (electronic or paper evaluations and surveys).

Oversee data entry into electronic evaluation programs (EValue, ExamSoft�, etc.).

Communicate with IT at Quinnipiac and technical support staff from external software vendors to ensure proper functioning of all evaluation programs.

Collaborate with administration, faculty, and external partners to plan, implement, and track assessments for the school of medicine and its clinical partners.

Collaborate with administration and staff in other graduate and undergraduate schools at Quinnipiac to plan, implement, and track interprofessional assessments that include the school of medicine.

Prepare data reports and summaries of results

Track compliance of faculty, residents, and students in completing required evaluations.

Communicate with faculty, residents and students who are noncompliant with completing required evaluations

Independently communicate with faculty, residents, students, and staff about the basic content of assessments.

Oversee reporting staff and conduct annual performance assessments of these individuals.

Oversee course schedules and room assignments

Help to coordinate data collection for LCME and other accreditation reviews.

Supervise the Administrative Assistant for Educational Programs and Assessment in his/her duties.

Other related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years experience in an academic setting.

Intermediate-advanced experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Knowledge of electronic educational evaluation programs (E*Value?, ExamSoft�, ePortfolio) preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in education research, testing, and management of statistics databases.
