The Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance within the Donald R. Tapia School of Business is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, faculty position to teach accounting courses at our Tampa Education Center in Tampa,Florida.
This is a twelve (12) month, full-time, faculty appointment with eight (8) weeks release time at the Assistant or Associate rank.
This position may require teaching Saturday and/or evening classes.
This position is pending final budgetary approval for the 2015-2016 academic year.

•Teach 9 classes per year;
•Assess, assist, and guide adjunct Accounting faculty under the direction of the department chair;
•Engage in curriculum development;
•Support recruiting efforts;
•Demonstrate professional development (e.g., scholarly research);
•Undertake community service in keeping with the school’s Benedictine values;
•Teach on-ground, online; and
•Teach undergraduate and graduate classes.
•Be able to teach traditional and non-traditional age students; and
•Demonstrate the ability to use discipline-related computer programs
To be considered at the Assistant level an applicant must possess a Doctorate degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited institution with credentials to teach Accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate level per accreditation guidelines (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting).
An exceptional candidate possessing a Doctorate degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited institution with credentials to teach Accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate level per accreditation guidelines and with experience may be considered at the Associate level.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellence in the classroom (on-ground and online) and have the ability to use discipline-related computer programs.
Doctorate degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting to be considered at Assistant/Associate level.
