Associate Director of Training/Core Faculty

Counselling Psychology Programs

Position: Reporting to the Director of Training and to the Counselling Psychology Program Director, the Associate Director of Training will play a senior role in advancing practicum training infrastructure for Adler University’s Master’s-level Counselling Psychology programs.  In addition to these training responsibilities, the successful applicant will hold a Core Faculty appointment with the Counselling Psychology program and will be involved in teaching, thesis supervision, advising and program development responsibilities.

Work schedule: This full-time core faculty position is designed around a four-day week (32 hours) contract.  The position is available September, 2015 with flexible consideration of an earlier start date.


  • A doctoral-level degree in Counselling Psychology or closely related discipline from a recognized program
  • Psychologist Registration (or registration eligibility) with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia is strongly preferred
  • Supervisory experience and knowledge of trainee competence development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism
  • Post-secondary teaching experience
  • Experience counselling and supervising in one of the prevalent languages found in the Greater Vancouver area would be considered an asset (e.g., Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi, or Spanish).
