Under the direction of the Senior Director of Infrastructure Services, the Director of Infrastructure Operations will be responsible for keeping critical business systems running reliably by ensuring the integrity of the technology those systems are based upon. Will coordinate and collaborate with all IT departments and across the university to support critical technology systems, enhancing the availability, reliability, and scalability of systems. Effectively monitors IT systems, identifies potential system issues, creates and tracks preventative maintenance procedures, responds quickly to system outages through alerts and tracking of incidents, facilitates communications and escalates support needs to the appropriate system owner in a timely manner. The Director offloads some basic workload duties from Systems Administration and other IT areas. Responsible for tracking and processing the documentation necessary for effective management of the system environment.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus three years of staff level experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.
Required 2 current industry recognized certifications directly related to the administering and maintaining Enterprise Level IT systems.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, plus four years of experience related to the essential functions/duties of the position is preferred; or an associate’s degree, plus six years of experience related to the essential functions/duties; or a combination of education/experience totaling eight years is acceptable.
