$80,000 - $90,000/year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master of Library Science from an American Library Association accredited institution. Ten years experience working in a college library.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of experience as the director of a college library, including responsibility for hiring staff and for managing a budget. Experience supervising academic support center activities including tutoring. Experience working in a combined library and academic support services environment.
Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates all full time Library and Academic Support Center employees. Works closely with faculty and staff to identify ways in which Academic Support Services can enhance support of teaching/learning process. Provides day-to-day direction and overall leadership for the Library and supervises management of the academic support center. Has administrative oversight for collection management and facilitates the development of a quality library print and non-print collection. Supervises library staff to assure that acquisitions and cataloging of new materials is done in an efficient and timely manner. Coordinates library services and policies with campus strategic initiatives and monitors all short and long-range tactical planning of library teams and work-groups. Represents the Library to the community at large and at consortial governance meetings of C/WMARS, MLS, ARC, LYRASIS, and MCCLPHEI and attends all of these meetings as the Library's voting representative. Completes surveys and reports and serves on state-wide and local boards. Encourages staff participation in library and academic support professional development activities to ensure currency with rapidly emerging technological developments. Supports the work of the administration of the academic support center to ensure a sufficient and relevant number of subject specialist tutors are hired to serve the needs of students; monitors the use of online tutoring to be sure that service is adequately funded to meet the demand. Supports the Academic Program Review and NEASC accreditation. Develops and administers the annual budgets. Serves on the Academic Council. Promotes information literacy and coordinates in-class presentations. Performs other duties as assigned.
