The College of Arts and Science (Office of the Dean): Senior Academic Advisor to work with the Assistant Dean to coordinate academic advising for students in the College of Arts and Science.
The Senior Academic Advisor assists in the coordination of all academic advising matters and also serves as the assigned academic advisor to a cohort of university studies students. Advising duties include providing counsel with regard to academic program changes and deciding on majors, providing information with regard to career and professional development of liberal arts students, and assisting students in their transition to college.

Current Miami University appointment; Master’s degree and demonstrated knowledge of student development best practices; five years of academic advising experience; experience with designing and conducting training; strong written and oral communication skills; experience with diverse student populations; strong computer skills including knowledge of Banner, AdvisorTrac, Interactive Degree Audit. This position requires knowledge of all aspects of academic advising including program coordination, training and staff development, and data collection.
Seven or more years of academic advising in an Arts and Science environment; group presentation skills; experience working with Admission; academic committee leadership experience.
