Highland Community College invites applications for the position ofDean, Humanities, Social Sciences and Fine Arts beginning Fall 2015. Master’s degree in humanities, social sciences, fine arts or a related field and three (3) years teaching experience at the college level required. An equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge and skills may be considered. The Dean is responsible for development, supervision, coordination and evaluation of the instructional programs related to areas of assignment. This position will direct and coordinate all aspects Humanities, Social Sciences and Fine Arts education related to program development, funding options, grants and state and federal requirements. Knowledge of practices in the administration of instructional programs and related support activities preferred. Experience working in a union environment preferred. A successful criminal background check is required.
