Detailed Job Description

This position will represent the facility needs of residential communities in respect to the safety, appearance, accessibility, and the overall satisfaction of each Residence Hall from a student and administrative perspective. The primary purpose of this position is the promotion of a healthy and functional learning community to enhance the experience of each student, the support and creation of campus emergency protocols and the departmental and divisional response to emergencies. This position will assist with divisional renovation and construction projects and serves as a member of the HRC Leadership Team

Additional Department Summary:

This position directs the facility needs in 19 residence halls, 18 apartment buildings, and 7 small houses with over 8,500 beds generating an annual income exceeding $50 million.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree Engineering, Business Administration, Education, Design, or other relevant field and six years on a university campus including work with team management, staff development and/or leadership or other relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel, Communication, Design, Public Administration or other relevant field and four years of experience on a university campus including work with team management, staff development and/or leadership or other relevant experience. Proficiency in database management and inventory control system management, effective communication skills, working knowledge of mechanical systems and construction codes, working knowledge of furniture types and standards for adherence to federal fire safety codes, and working knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical applications.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle record as determined by the insurance carrier. 60 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 49878.36 Midpoint - $ 72321.60
