Detailed Job Description

The Case Manager provides individual support through appropriate advocacy and case management services to those experiencing individual crisis or other life events that impact their health status.

Additional Department Summary:

The Case Manager will be responsible for monitoring students involved in the clearance process. The Case Manager is responsible for performing follow-up phone calls and emails to doctors, counselors, therapist, hospitals, families and students. The Case Manager is responsible for reporting directly to the Director of Student Care & Well-Being. The Case Manager will provide weekly and annual case management reports to the Director. This position will also participate in the On-call Dean program when needed.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a closely related field and at least two (2) years of experience in crisis intervention, case management, advocacy, or the medical or mental health field; OR Master's degree in a related field. (Licensure if required by profession.) Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to work with diverse populations. Demonstrated use of sound judgment and ability to remain calm during a crisis.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Counseling or related field and 2-3 years of experience working in case management, crisis management, medical office, campus housing facility or related office environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to prioritize work assignments. Knowledge of computer software and database management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred experience working in higher education administration. Licensure in LCSW and/or LPC preferred.

Pay Grade/Pay Range:

57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 31969.56 Midpoint - $ 46342.44 Pay Grade/Pay Range:This position is a ten month position receiving prorated benefits for 12 months. The incumbent will work from August 1, 2015 - May 30, 2016.
