In support of the Center for Student Involvement's mission and values to provide leadership opportunities that assess and meet the needs and interests of a creative and diverse population of students, the Program Coordinator advises new and existing student organizations and support their overall programming and initiatives in order to provide professional and personal development of our students. This role will/is:

Advise and support the Student Programming Board and act as the point of contact to the Center for Student Involvement.

Assist student groups in initiating a full compliment of extracurricular and co-curricular programs and services social, cultural and recreational.

Responsible for striving to achieve the overall goals of the CSI in continuing to expand opportunities for students to engage in leadership roles.

Responsible for cultivating leadership skills within our student clubs and organizations and for designing and implementing training programs to enhance leadership, communication and collaboration skills .

Utilize established learning outcomes within CSI to direct the focus of student programming and assessment.  

Qualifications

Master's degree in student affairs discipline, student development, organizational development, higher education or related area.

In depth knowledge of student and organizational theory.

Demonstrated experience in the planning and execution of collegiate level student programming involving the exercise of independent judgment and resulting in enhanced leadership, communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to engage and empower students.

Demonstrated experience developing programs that are advantageous to serving students of diverse backgrounds.

Ability to guide others on how to maximize resources and budgets to achieve greatest value.

Experience within a busy multifaceted office setting; ease in working with staff and young adults: knowledge of computers and related software.

Strong ability in written and verbal communications skills.
