Quinnipiac University's Department of Engineering is seeking candidates for tenure-track faculty positions at the Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor level beginning July, 2013.

Job Duties

We are seeking outstanding teachers and scholars committed to professional growth. Professional registration and professional practice experience is desirable. Successful applicants will be prepared to teach courses in civil engineering areas outside their immediate expertise.

The Department of Engineering is new at Quinnipiac University and accepted its first freshmen this fall with the goal of becoming ABET accredited upon graduation of this first class in 2016. The Department of Engineering is a foundational step in a path that anticipates becoming the School of Engineering in the near future. We are building a unique learning environment that balances theoretical and applied learning, supported by a variety of learning styles. In that setting, we also foster continuous professional growth of our faculty and staff appropriate to our Mission. We look forward to applications from potential future colleagues with a passion to help shape and build a program that will become a national leader in Civil Engineering Education and who are focused on student learning and mentoring mechanical engineering students, with desire to be part of a professional and collaborative team devoted to that passion, and with a commitment to individual professional growth as a scholar and engineer. Required Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. with expertise in one of the sub-disciplines of civil engineering. Candidates with a strong interest in sustainable design are desirable.
