Detailed Job Description

The Director for Construction Services is responsible for overseeing designated construction activities. Serves as a liaison between Construction Administration and enterprise partners both internal and external to The University.

Additional Department Summary:

The position is responsible for operational control and management of inspections from beginning to end of a construction project. The position also is responsible for directing and managing the daily operations of the department in the field. Position also provides emergency contact for Construction Administration. Operations Coordinator will also manage CMT inspections, including tracking project deficiencies. Position will also coordinate power outages and road closures with all effected parties to ensure minimal interruption. This position is also responsible for the development and implementation of an efficient Pre-Construction/Pre-Installation Program.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of various structural and building systems. Knowledge of Central systems and enterprise systems. Knowledge of various building program types, particularly institutional. Experience planning, coordinating, managing and executing large scale events.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred. Fifteen years of progressively responsible related experience is preferred. Five years experience working in a higher education campus environment. NIMS 100, Public Works, Higher Education, NIMS 200. 61 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 58656.00 Midpoint - $ 85342.44
