Detailed Job Description

The Coordinator, Student Affairs Programs is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing programs and services supporting students, parents or student organizations for Student Affairs.

Additional Department Summary:

The Al's Pals Coordinator will play a key role in providing students with an engaging and rewarding leadership experience as they service as one-on-one mentors or student leaders in an after school program for children in the Tuscaloosa Community.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience which may include program support, event planning or communications.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to work some nights, weekends, spring breaks and holidays. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle record as determined by the insurance carrier.

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community members/partners; volunteer experience, leadership ability; human relations skills; public speaking skills, financial/budget planning, marketing and organizational skills; effective oral and written communication skills; conflict resolution and mediation skills; knowledge of personal computers and standard software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in higher education or student affairs or related field and 1-3 years of full time work experience in higher education or related field. Experience working with school systems and/or experience with a mentor/tutoring program. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 31969.56 Midpoint - $ 46342.44
