Job Description:

Reporting to the Executive Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Assistant will support the office of IMC in external and internal communications including campaigns, office management and special projects.

  • Work closely with Executive Director to manage tracking and reporting for various functions including press releases, media inquiries, marketing and advertising campaigns, editorial calendars, events and internal communications.
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, calendar and approvals for Executive Director.
  • Field and track new vendor solicitations on products and services via phone calls, email and in-person.
  • Coordinate and compile data and reports requested by Executive Director.
  • Manage and monitor media mentions and oversee online newsroom and print media library.
  • Work with the IMC's project request ticketing system to ensure correct assignment, priority, timelines and approvals.
  • Liaison between vendors, contractors and marketing partners on advertising and marketing functions.
  • Support on tracking IMC budget and processes related to purchases and service contracts.
  • Perform marketing research and analysis to support IMC projects and initiatives.
  • Press release and media relations support as needed.
  • Work with Executive Director to perform other marketing and administrative duties as assigned
  • Associate Degree in business administration, marketing or communications (or equivalent work experience and/or closely related field)
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience; marketing or communications concentration preferred
  • Proficient in Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • SharePoint or similar collaboration tool a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of marketing data analysis is a plus
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices
  • Excellent planning, organizing and project management skills
  • Experience using a content management system is a plus
  • Proficient with spelling, punctuation, grammar and proofreading
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment working on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population

Bunker Hill Community College is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at three satellite locations in the Greater Boston area. Additional Information

Part-time position without benefits: 18 hours/week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday $20-25/hour
