Position: Clinical Assistant Professor (Non-Tenure Track)

This position is for a nine month academic year, non-tenure earning clinical assistant professor in the Department of Special Education and Multiple Abilities Program. This position will be renewed annually based on performance and funding.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned doctoral degree in special education or related field
  • Expertise in learning disabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in academic instruction of secondary students with learning disabilities
  • Knowledge of curriculum requirements and trends in the discipline
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the disclipine
  • A commitment to diversity and excellence in higher education teacher preparation programs
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of instructional and assistive technology applications and/or distance delivery

Responsibilities:

  • Teach up to 10 classes, or equivalent experiences, during the academic year
