Position: Clinical Assistant Professor, Technology Applications
and Assessment Systems (12 Month Appointment, Non-Tenure Track)

The College of Education at The University of Alabama is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor to supervise the continuous improvement of student assessment programs, teach College-wide integrated technology courses, and provide leadership in technology applications and assessment systems. This position will be renewed annually based on performance and funding.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned doctoral degree in technology education, instructional technology, management information systems, or closely related field before expected start date of 8/16/15
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching in K-12 schools or in higher education
  • Knowledge of assessment principles related to higher education
  • Knowledge of technology applications related to higher education
  • Ability to develop and maintain database applications
  • Ability to communicate results of data analysis and configuration to various audiences
  • Ability to integrate technology into instruction
  • Knowledge of Alabama State Department of Education standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience working with assessment and data analysis systems
  • Alabama Class B, A, or AA teaching certificate
