Detailed Job Description

To serve as a liaison between the Athletic Department, undergraduate divisions, and administrative offices of the University. Also, to provide personal assistance to all student athletes, assisting with advising, class scheduling and registration, ensuring that all student-athletes are maintaining satisfactory progress toward their degree, are informed of programs and services that will help them be academically successful and monitoring academic eligibility to compete in athletic events.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in education, counseling, behavioral science, or related field and one year of work experience in academic advising, teaching or in a student services environment, or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience in which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained (see below). Good oral and written communications skills, along with good organizational skills required. Requires basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers, including word processing. Equivalencies: A bachelor's degree in education, counseling, behavioral science, or related field and one year of work experience in academic advising, teaching or in a student services environment OR a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field and two or more years of work experience in academic advising, teaching or in a student services environment OR a Master's degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer academic advising and/or higher education administration experience. Division I experience preferred. Familiar with student information systems, i.e., BANNER, SIS+. Knowledge of NCAA/SEC rules and regulations. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 31969.56 Midpoint - $ 46342.44
